Community cleanup yields major haul.

We teamed up with Boy Scout Troop 444 a couple of weeks ago to help clean up a stretch of Loch Raven Reservoir. With the help of some boys and past customers, we collected about 2 dozen contractor sized trash bags, a bunch of tires, car bumpers and some headlights. Amazing that some are willing to trash their drinking water.

It was such a success, we are planning on a monthly clean up. If you want to join in to help your community, just give us a call. We'll provide trash bags and drinks. If you know of a spot that needs clean up, let us know.

Hope to see you in February!

  1. I am responding to "Community Clean up yields major haul". I am the Program Director for
Gunpowder Valley Conservancy. I coordinate tree plantings and stream clean ups in the Gunpowder Watershed area. I would like to get in touch with the Scout group who is interested in cleaning up monthly. I can advise them on this issue. Please give them my contact information; they can email me at little-owl@msn.com and go to our website at www.gunpowderfalls.org for more information.

    Thank you,

    Peggy Perry

  3. Thanks for your response Peggy. The young Scouts did a great job, with a lot of positive feedback from hikers and cyclists.
We are in the process of trying to involve the community in a monthly cleanup.

Peggy, I'll be in touch through your email. For anyone else out there looking for a place that needs some cleanup in their community, please reach out. CertaPro Painters wants to actively participate in your community!
